Minister’s Corner
Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!
Christ is Risen!
He is Risen Indeed!
Although a week has passed for the Western Christian World since the celebration of our Lord’s resurrection, the Eastern Christian World celebrates Easter this weekend and thus the Eastern Easter Greeting is still relevant today. Rather than asking who is right and who is wrong on the dates, I decided to embrace both and take the opportunity to celebrate double. Not long-ago Pat was preaching about this celebration in Jerusalem that was so joyful and memorable that the people decided to keep the holiday going for another week. Let it be so with us as we celebrate Easter anew again today with our Eastern Orthodox Family.
This Wednesday – April 19th – Family Time & Question in the Box
On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our bi-weekly fellowship meal.
From 7PM, a question was asked regarding the role of men & women in the church. I will send more information tomorrow.
Birthdays this week: Robin Randall (18th)

Metro Detroit Youth Chorus -TODAY
TODAY our congregation will host the Metro Detroit Youth Chorus. The Chorus will be at our building rehearsing from 3pm to 5pm with a concert at 5:30pm. Leslie & I purchased the needed items to feed the group and would appreciate your support in the preparation/presentation. Please ask Leslie for directions on the needed help.
Under 5 Children’s Church during Sermon
Nadya has graciously offered to host a children’s church for under 5 kids during the sermon portion of our worship so parents can better focus on the message. She would like to start a rotation so volunteers for this ministry are encouraged and appreciated. Please see Nadya for details.
