Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning and thank you for being with us today as we gather to worship God. What a week we’ve had here at Troy Church. The VBS at Troy was a fantastic success. Five days of great community and fellowship with the kids and the wonderful volunteers who have done so, so, much. It wasn’t all fun and games, I’ll have you know. There was some serious soul searching and learning going on as well. Kids memorized verses and the motions that go with those verses. Kids opened up in classroom about their own lives as they watched Jonah’s life played right before their eyes through the story telling skill of Ron Palmer. Today we will join them in the soul searching and the learning as we will go over some of the deep learning Jonah is exposes us to. May God bless your time with us and may He grant us a worship service that glorifies Him, and infuses every heart with peace and kindness.

This Wednesday – 13th August – Fellowship Dinner & Bible Class – 6:00PM

Please make plans to join us for our BYOD (Bring Your Own Dinner) mid-week Fellowship at 6PM on Wednesday. This is a great time to connect, strengthen relationships and catch up with one another.

From 7PM we will end our study through 1 Peter led by Manu.

Birthdays this week: Nancy Schroeder (11th)

Anniversaries this week: Caleb & Della Simmons (13th)

Troy VBS – Jonah’s Journey – Thank you!

Thank you Nadya for organizing and thank you everyone who volunteered and made this VBS such a success. I know it’s a cliché but definitely, the best one yet. Each one of you who volunteered, from actors, to teachers, to decorators, to DJs and game masters, to front door man, you were all essential and outstanding. Thank you!
