Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning, church family! As we enter this week of Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express how deeply grateful I am for each one of you. Though I am away today, my heart is with you, and I give thanks to God for the love, faith, encouragement, and service that fill this congregation. Every song you sing, every prayer you lift, every act of kindness you offer strengthens the body of Christ here at Troy. You are a blessing to me and to one another.

This morning, you will be encouraged by the preaching of our brother, Pat Oja. I am thankful for his willingness to share the Word and to serve God in this way in my absence. As you worship together today, may your hearts be filled with gratitude for the God who gives every good gift and for the church family that walks beside you. May His peace, joy, and steadfast love surround you throughout this week of thanksgiving and in the coming holiday season, my favorite time of the year, in spite of the weather Michigan has during this time.

This Wednesday – 26^th October – NO DINNER OR CLASS

Please make sure to adjust your calendar for this week. We will not have dinner or class this coming Wednesday due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Bible Break – No Bible Break this week

The Bible Break ladies’ Bible meets every Tuesday with 9:45AM coffee & social time. Study starts at 10AM and ends at 11:30AM. This season the ladies will be focusing on the Hebrews text of the New Testament. Invite a friend!

Church of Christ Care Center – December 7^th – 2pm

Thank you in the name of our Lord to all of you who made it to the Care Center last week. I know the residents appreciated your presence there and were blessed by you.

Zoom Bible Reading – Mondays & Thursdays – 7:15pm

Please join us for a bi-weekly Bible reading over Zoom. The group meets on Monday & Thursday evenings from 7:15pm. We generally pray and read together three chapters. We are in Leviticus. Usually only lasts about 20-30 minutes.

Bake Sale – December 14^th

Please join us in our bake sale fundraiser on December 14^th, after the services, to support World Vision efforts for poor families! If you want to bring baked goods, please contact Nadya. Otherwise, come ready to purchase some delectables for your Christmas sweet tooth!
