Michigan State Lectureship

The Michigan State Lectureship begins September 18th through September 20th at the Van Dyke Church of Christ. Preachers from the metro area will be speaking including Lora Price's cousin Russ Bone from the Lincoln Park church of Christ. The program begins at 7 p.m. each night with refreshment being served before and after the  program. The Van Dyke congregation is encouraging congregations to move their Wednesday evening program to Van Dyke and attend the lectureship. The Van Dyke building is located on east Nine Mile road between Mound and Ryan. See the bulletin board for more details.

Mix Martial Arts Self-Defense

School started and our pick-up volleyball has ended. It is time for another heart pumping - calorie blasting activity and I was thinking of restarting the Mix Martial Arts - Self-Defense classes.

These are classes offered at no cost to you from an experience of 32 years of Martial Arts training.
It is a "go at your own pace" style and I will do my best to tailor the training to each one of you and your level of experience, physical condition and flexibility.

Chris and Sarah Appolson join the Body of Christ

Last Sunday, August 18th, during our worship gathering, Chris and Sarah Appolson decided to be joined to the Body of Christ through baptism. We welcome this dear couple and praise God for the work He is doing in their life.
This month has been full of new life celebration with three souls redeemed and reconciled in Christ.
Alex, Chris & Sarah - WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!

Alex - our new brother in Christ

Alexander Szpanelewski
Alex and Katie came to us a few weeks ago and expressed the desire to know more about God. It is my privilege to welcome Alex to a new identity and life in Christ. Alex was baptized on Friday evening, August 9th here at the Troy church building. Please welcome Alex to the Body of Christ!

Chris and Sarah Appolson

It is my pleasure to announce the successful completion of the marriage ceremony for Chris and Sarah. No fainting, no bloopers worth any cash on Americas Funniest Home Videos,... just a lot of love, a lot of hope, all blended to a few joyful tears.

Special Thanks

A word of special thanks goes out to Manu for feverishly working on a ton of content for the website before it went live today. You'll note in his blog articles that he's always ending them with a request for comments and discussion, so keep that in mind - there is a place to leave comments at the end of every article.

Thanks as well to the beta testers who took time during a very busy week of SOS (and now prepping for VBS) to offer some initial feedback.
